From Struggle to Purpose

Growing up in the Philippines, I learned early what it meant to struggle. I carried sacks of rice during harvest season and helped my parents sell vegetables just to help our family get by.

I dreamed of finishing my education because I believed it was my path to a better life. But after high school, my parents could no longer afford my studies. My dreams seemed to disappear.

Still, I refused to give up.

I worked in the Philippines, then spent seven years in Singapore, where I studied as a Nursing Aide. Later, I worked in Israel for three years before taking another leap of faith and coming to Canada in 2001 as a caregiver.

I eventually became a Personal Support Worker, started a family, and had three children. My spouse and I worked incredibly hard—even taking on multiple jobs—but sometimes it still wasn't enough. More than financial security, I wanted something priceless: time with my family.

In 2017, I was introduced to Greatway Financial and received my license in 2018. I started part-time, praying for guidance and trusting that God had a greater plan for me.

Then COVID changed everything.

I lost my job and suddenly had to stay home with my children while they homeschooled. It was frightening—but it was also when I realized that God had been preparing me for something different.

The income I built through Greatway became a tremendous blessing to my family. Over time, it also gave us opportunities I once only dreamed of, including three Caribbean cruises and a Mediterranean cruise together as a family.

Today, I am grateful not only for how far I've come, but for the opportunity to help others discover their own possibilities.

My journey taught me that sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come after the hardest seasons.
