Growing up, I witnessed the hardships my parents faced in providing me and my siblings needs. Because of our family's poverty, I learned to earn money by carrying sacks of rice during harvest season. I also helped my parents sell vegetables. This made me believe that I needed to have a good education to secure a high-paying job and a better life. However, after I finished high school, my parents told me I could no longer continue my studies, and all my dreams seemed to vanish like a bubble. Because of my frustration with my parents and my strong desire to finish my studies, I left home and worked as a vendor at the market in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. However, education remained out of reach for me. My older sister encouraged me to work in Singapore, so I worked there for seven years. During my stay ,I had the opportunity to study as a Nursing Aide.

To earn more and help my family rebuild our makeshift house, I took a chance and worked in Israel, where I stayed for three years. My desire to travel to different countries was strong, but I didn’t have the means to do so. I took another leap of faith and applied to work as a live-in caregiver here in Canada, and with God's help, I arrived in 2001.

I got my permanent residency card in 2003 and studied to become a PSW (Personal Support Worker) because it was a job in high demand and offered a good salary. I also started a family and had three children, so I needed to work two jobs. However, despite how hard my spouse and I worked, our income was still not enough. I also tried various side jobs, but what we earned was just enough to get by day to day. But I am the type of person who never gives up, and I refuse to settle for not giving my family the best. So, I promised myself that one day I would be able to provide everything my children need, including my time with them.

In 2017, I was introduced to Greatway, and I got my license in 2018. I started working part-time in the business, and because I prayed for guidance, direction, and support from God and it turned out He had a better plan for me that I wasn’t aware of. When the COVID pandemic hit, one of my siblings, who was living with us, was the first got infected COVID positive , and we were immediately prohibited from leaving the house. Suddenly, I lost my job, and on top of that, the kids had to do homeschooling.

This is where I saw God's plan—it was frightening, but I trusted in His plan. The income I earned through Greatway became a huge financial help for my family, and thanks to Greatway, we were able to go on three Caribbean cruises, one Mediterranean cruise as a family. I thank God, and thank you, Greatway, for this wonderful opportunity. I am forever grateful, and I hope and pray that you discover yourself and your purpose.
